Hotspur Art Exhibition 2018

We have had a particular focus on visual 2D art this year across the school. Art has been used to stimulate cross-curricular projects and as a response to learning. Throughout the Autumn Term we had a painting of the week (featured below) and children have had many opportunities to develop their own skills, knowledge and understanding. Every child will have a piece of their art in the exhibition which will celebrate work that has been created so far this year.

This page provides opportunities to respond to aspects of the exhibition.

Community Art Exhibits

We will be featuring art work produced by Hotspur families and others connected to the school. We will welcome art from anyone who does it as a hobby or makes a living from it. It will be good for our children to see that both are valuable activities. This part of the exhibition will be curated by Elisabetta Fabrizi. We are asking for one piece of art from each person as space is limited. Please complete the form to participate in this aspect of our exhibition.

Exhibition Invitations

There are some key times when we would particularly welcome visitors to our exhibition: 3:30pm- 4:30pm Tuesday 27th March - guided tours with cakes and scones provided by our cookery club 9:20am Thursday 29th March - a concert featuring singing by children and the staff choir 10:00 - 12:00 Thursday 29th March - guided tours around the exhibition with informal instrumental performances from Hotspur pupils. If these times are not convenient we shall try to accommodate other requests too.

Painting Mounting Workshop

On the morning of Thursday 22nd March we shall be mounting work for the exhibition. We are looking for any volunteers who can be very precise and careful with sticking and cutting under the guidance of Cheryl Outterside. This is probably not an activity for maverick creatives.
