Behaviour and Anti-Bullying

At Hotspur we strive to create an environment in which all children feel safe and happy, enabling them to learn and achieve in all areas of the curriculum whilst developing skills and attitudes, rooted in mutual respect and trust, which will help them to become valuable members of society.

Hotspur has three rules: ‘Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe’ which apply to a variety of situations and are taught and modelled explicitly. These rules live in everyday conversations between adults and children and are woven into every behaviour intervention that occurs.

Bullying will not be tolerated at Hotspur Primary School. Bullying is defined as a persistent ‘attack’ by one or more children on another, or the deliberate exclusion of one child by others.  All behaviour and bullying incidents will be dealt with in line with our behaviour policy.  The full policy can be found below.
