Our School Day
The School day starts at 8:45am and finishes at 3:15pm. Registration closes at 9:30am, after which time children will be marked absent. The school gates open at 8:40am each morning.
Our school office is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm (40 hours per week).
Morning Playtimes
KS1’s playtime is at 9:55 until 10:15 and KS2’s playtime is at 10:55 until 11:15. These playtimes are switched on a Wednesday to accommodate our weekly singing assembly and the whole school shares a joint morning playtime on a Friday.
EYFS has free flow provision so the children have access to the outdoor learning environment at all times.
Lunchtimes
EYFS 11:30am to 1:00. KS1 12:00pm to 1:00pm. KS2 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
Afternoon Playtimes
KS1 select when to take their afternoon playtime.
Drop off and collection
At the start of the school day Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 enter via the bottom yard. Parents and carers can accompany the children onto the bottom yard where they will join their class teacher in a line. Years 4, 5 and 6 enter via the top gate and will line up on the top yard with their teacher.
At the end of the day parents/careers are welcomed onto the site from 3:10pm to collect their children from their classrooms - we want to build close relationships between home and school and this provides an opportunity for you to check in with your child's teacher if you have any quick worries and concerns. If there is something you would like to discuss in more detail please contact the school office to make an appointment. If your child is in Year 6 you must let your child's class teacher know in advance, any other circumstances in which a younger child may need to walk home independently would be discussed on a case by case basis.
